A Celebration of First Nations Culture in Perth

Kirrikin is proud to be part of Maar Koodjal, a vibrant seven-week campaign at Raine Square in Perth, honouring First Nations art, culture, and storytelling. Running from May 27 to July 13, this special event brings together a rich program of experiences that highlight the beauty, diversity, and strength of Indigenous culture.

The name Maar Koodjal, meaning "two hands" in Noongar language, reflects the spirit of connection and shared responsibility that sits at the heart of this campaign. Held in alignment with National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week, Maar Koodjal offers an opportunity for all visitors to engage with and celebrate the stories, traditions, and talents of First Nations communities.

Throughout the seven weeks, Raine Square will host:

Powerful art exhibitions showcasing Indigenous artists

Live art demonstrations and performances

Cultural workshops and storytelling

Stunning fashion showcases, where Kirrikin is proudly featured

As part of this celebration, Kirrikin’s pop-up store is open at Raine Square, offering visitors the chance to experience luxury fashion designed in collaboration with First Nations artists. Each Kirrikin piece tells a unique story, connecting wearers to Country, culture, and creativity. From our signature silk scarves to statement garments, every design reflects the artistry and heritage of the Indigenous communities we work with.

This is more than a shopping experience — it’s a chance to engage directly with stories of Country, learn about the meaning behind the artwork, and support Indigenous artists and businesses in a meaningful way.

We invite you to visit Kirrikin at Raine Square during Maar Koodjal and explore everything this inspiring campaign has to offer. Whether you’re attending an exhibition, workshop or browsing the fashion showcase, Maar Koodjal offers a powerful reminder of the rich cultural heritage that continues to thrive here in Western Australia.

Come and be part of this incredible celebration of culture, art and community.
