Introducing
Celebrating Culture, Creativity and Connection at West Tech Fest 2024

We are incredibly proud to have collaborated with Danelle Cross from Curtin University on the design of the official West Tech Fest 2024 T-shirts and hats, bringing a unique fusion of culture and innovation to this year’s event.
At the heart of the design process was a special partnership with Indigenous artist Buffie Punch, whose artwork, Danjoo Djerpin, became the creative centrepiece for the festival’s official merchandise. Buffie's stunning design reflects the West Tech Fest’s core themes of connection, place, and community. Danjoo Djerpin beautifully symbolises people coming together to share knowledge, innovate, collaborate, and celebrate the diverse communities that make up Western Australia.
The opportunity to weave Indigenous art and storytelling into one of the state’s leading innovation and technology events was both meaningful and powerful. As West Tech Fest continues to grow as a platform for ideas, entrepreneurship, and global connection, it also provides space to acknowledge and honour the cultural foundations of the land on which it is held.
A huge thank you to Danelle Cross, Curtin University, Buffie Punch, and the entire West Tech Fest team for making this collaboration possible. We’re also grateful to everyone who joined us at the event and contributed to the vibrant energy that made this year’s festival truly memorable.
We’re excited to share a few highlights and photos from the event, capturing the creativity, innovation and spirit that West Tech Fest is known for. This collaboration is a wonderful example of what happens when technology, art, and culture intersect to create something meaningful.
We look forward to many more opportunities to celebrate culture and creativity through future collaborations.
