West Tech Fest 2024 Merchandise: Celebrating Innovation, Culture, and Community Through Design

We are incredibly proud to have collaborated with Danelle Cross from Curtin University on the design of the official West Tech Fest 2024 T-shirts and hats, bringing together a unique blend of innovation, culture, and creativity for one of Western Australia's most influential technology events.

A Meaningful Collaboration for West Tech Fest 2024

West Tech Fest has become a leading platform for innovation, entrepreneurship, and global collaboration, attracting industry leaders, startups, investors, and creatives from across Australia and beyond. For the 2024 festival, we had the privilege of contributing to the official event merchandise, creating custom-designed T-shirts and hats that reflect the spirit and values of the event.

This exciting project was made possible through a collaboration with Danelle Cross from Curtin University and the talented Indigenous artist Buffie Punch, whose artwork became the heart of the merchandise design.

Featuring Indigenous Artwork: Danjoo Djerpin

At the centre of the design is Danjoo Djerpin, a powerful artwork created by Indigenous artist Buffie Punch. The artwork beautifully captures the essence of West Tech Fest by symbolising people coming together to connect, share knowledge, collaborate, innovate, and celebrate community.

The design reflects the festival's core themes of connection, place, and belonging, while honouring the diverse cultures and communities that contribute to the growth and success of Western Australia.

Integrating Indigenous art and storytelling into the official West Tech Fest merchandise created an opportunity to acknowledge the cultural foundations of the land while celebrating the future-focused nature of the technology and innovation sector.
