Kirrikin Celebrates National Recognition at the 63rd Australian Export Awards

Posted by Lauren Davidson on

Kirrikin has been honoured as a national finalist at the 63rd Australian Export Awards, a prestigious recognition that reflects our commitment to cultural storytelling, Indigenous collaboration, and global impact.

Representing Kirrikin in Canberra were our own Lauren and Martha, joining other visionary entrepreneurs and business leaders from across the country. The event, hosted by Austrade and supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), celebrated Australia’s best and brightest in international trade and innovation.

This recognition is particularly meaningful as a First Nations-led business. Founded by proud Wonnarua woman Amanda Healy, Kirrikin has spent the past decade amplifying Indigenous voices through fashion, art, and ethical enterprise. Our pieces—scarves, garments, and accessories—are more than luxury items; they’re cultural narratives designed in collaboration with talented Aboriginal artists and exported around the globe.

Special thanks to:

  • Ambassador for First Nations People, Mr Justin Mohamed

  • The Office of First Nations International Engagement

  • The First Nations Trade Unit in DFAT

  • Austrade CEO Dr Paul Grimes and Melanie Harris

  • WA Department of Energy and Economic Diversification for their ongoing support

We’d also like to extend our congratulations to Munda Wines and all other incredible finalists—each contributing to the strength and diversity of Australian exports.

As Kirrikin continues to grow internationally, this milestone reinforces the value of blending tradition with innovation, and reminds us how far we’ve come—and how far we’re yet to go.

Thank you for believing in our mission. Here’s to more global storytelling—through art, through fashion, and through connection.
